I thought it would be good for brushing up on my Japanese. The reading is good, but the spoken voice is too robotic to be of much use. Overall, I think it is OK from a learning, provided you have some reading comprehension. Tomodachi Collection, literally means 'Friend Collection', is a life simulation video game that was released for the Nintendo DS (NDS) gaming console initially in 2009, and later had a sequel called Tomodachi Life. In this game, there is no clear goal except to make friends with other Miis.
I'm a North American player who owns both the North American and Japanese (have a different 3DS for this one) copy of the game.
And this is what I like and dislike about the Japanese version so far.
1) One of the reasons I bought the game is for the Japanese exclusive song at the Concert Hall, Enka.
2) The way the miis blush.
The Outgoing one is the cutest, they start shaking there head no while both hands on their cheeks.

3) Not shown in the picture, but I love when a family takes a bath together. it's like the cutest thing ever!

Unfortunately it was removed and blocked with a Shower door in all other versions.

5) The Showa era room, another reason I bought the US version too because I thought it was on there.but unfortunately it's not. (It's in the EU version I heard, lucky)
6) The gesture of the Outgoing Miis and Easygoing Miis when they're in love or thinking about having a baby.
It's also the gesture when the Easygoing is sad.

What I dislike! Like what was Nintendo thinking! Thank goodness it's not a thing in the other versions!
1) Single Miis can ask out married miis! It's possible on that game and it's really annoying, especially when they know several other single Miis.
2).. Adult and Children Miis can try and asked each other out and it's soooo weird and creepy.
It doesn't happen on my island a lot, but I just recently had one!
